THIS INNOVATIVE AND UNIQUE MUSEUM WILL BE LIKE NO OTHER IN THE COUNTRY!
Our Museum will feature an impressive array of collector cars spanning all makes and eras. Period correct displays will be set up within the Museum depicting the featured cars in their environment as it was when the cars were born.
Our Resource Library of automotive books, magazines, trade journals and manuals will be accessible to our patrons on site. There are a lot of collections looking for a home and our Museum is the place to be!
Movies, Videos, Feature Films and website Articles will help educate the public about the history of the automobile, manufacturers, dealers and related industries. We will have many rare and historic films and movies not often seen by the general public.
Our Gift and Book Shop will offer a collection of logoed GTCCM items, model cars, classic automotive books and other automotive treasures.
Have you ever wondered what it was like to Ride in a Classic Car from a different era? This won't be a stuffy museum with a static display. Some of our collection will go out on local tours with our Docents bringing the public along for the ride.
Our Trophy Room will display awards and prizes from collectors whose cars have won contests at local car shows. A photo essay will accompany each item to provide a historical picture of the trophy winner and their car.
We are a Registered Charity! This means that we can issue a full tax receipt for all donations (both monetary and the appraised value of in kind donations). For those car collectors looking to downsize their collection, they can donate their car to the Museum at the full appraised value, become a volunteer and continue their relationship with their car as long as it remains in the museum collection! That's like having your cake and eat it too!
We are looking for collector cars for our Museum like this 1969 showroom condition Chevelle SS 396! Many of these cars sell for an amount far below their appraised value. For donation purposes we use the appraised value. As an example, a car donated to the Museum with an appraised value of $100,000 will get a full receipt for $100,000 and will generate tax savings of approximately $46,000 for Ontario residents in the top marginal tax bracket.
We are looking for web savvy individuals to volunteer to help us get the message out and to help us with our web site. Please contact the founder Jim MacLean to see how you can help us create a world class facility.
